Three talented BISP Students recently received accolades due to their musical prowess. Year 13’s Luciano was awarded a Choral Scholarship to the Hawaii Pacific University. Students can apply for these scholarships even if they are not studying Music. It is customary for such students to have come from American schools and American programme International Schools with very formal choral electives. It is a great honour for Luciano to be offered this scholarship and a wonderful recognition of his potential and current vocal ability. We are so proud of him! Please come and listen to him take on the role of “Seaweed” in our forthcoming production of “Hairspray!”, April 1st to 3rd
Year 10’s Kim is a singer in the Secondary Singers, a member of the Hair Spray production this year, plays trumpet in the Concert Band and has recently taken up the acoustic guitar. He won the Top in Thailand award in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) this year studying with Khun Kot. Kim’s performance was very much appreciated during last month’s acoustic concert.
Finally, but by no means least, Robin in Year 9 has just been awarded a place on the prestigious Ingenium Academy’s three week long orchestral course in July/August 2019 as a Clarinetist.
Congratulations to all three students on their achievements!
