Inspired by the ‘ice melts’ of Australian artist Gav Barbey, the Early Years children at BISP have been having fun exploring ice and colour this week. They mixed poster paints, powder paints & water and left them overnight in the freezer. The following day, they put these colourful ice blocks on paper and watched, manipulated and talked about them as they slowly melted, creating some amazing patterns and effects. In addition to being great fun, this experience covered a variety of different areas in the Early Years Foundations Stage curriculum.
