As part of the pastoral programme, students at British International School, Phuket (BISP) are asked to do something for a charity or perform an act of service for others.
This year, Year 8 decided to help support the development of a library at a local school, as a Year 8 student’s mother was already actively involved in this project. The students decided on three different events that they would all take part in.
A number of students were involved in a very successful bake sale, others organised a sporting event, and on Friday 3 June almost half of Year 8 took part in a sponsored silence.
As the first bell rang in the morning, the students taking part stopped talking and didn’t speak again until 14:35.
