As part of BISP’s CAS programme, on May 26 IB students painted a kindergarten classroom at the Good Shepherd School in Phuket Town. They did a great job and soon the tree will be filled with little handprints in place of leaves when the children return to their school.
The Good Shepherd School was set up to cater for Burmese children who were unable to receive education while living in the work camps at Rassada Pier. Initially 20 children were enrolled for classes, varying in ages from 2 – 14, there are now about 150 children attending the school.
British International School, Phuket Primary also supports similar school programmes, such as the SOS Children’s Village, story here.
