British International School, Phuket recently celebrated the success of KS3 students in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Examinations.
There was a 100% pass rate for all KS3 students and, very impressively, 93% achieved a Merit or Distinction. Students worked with their Drama teacher, Ms Emily Norman, to prepare for the exams. She was very impressed with the students’ thoroughness of preparation and development of confidence.
These examinations challenge students to present a prepared speech and engage in unplanned conversation with an external examiner and provide an opportunity to develop communication skills for life.
Particular congratulations go to the following students who were awarded the top marks in their year level. Each candidate is awarded a mark out of 100:
Year 7: Viktor – 97 Zhanna and Tanya – 96 Arina – 91 |
Year 8: Chloe, Sophia, Claire – 96 Nemo – 94 Tanya and Artima – 90 |
