On Wednesday 22nd November I had the pleasure of attending the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards at Bangkok Patana International School. From BISP, three students were invited to attend the ceremony due to their outstanding achievements in the IGCSE examinations in May/June 2017. Emily Matsui came Top in Thailand for IGCSE World Literature, and Yoonjae Lee won Top in Thailand for IGCSE Global Perspectives and was also the highest scoring candidate in Thailand with the High Achievement award for IGCSE International Mathematics. Raksina Phongsermsuk (currently studying in the UK ) came top in Thailand for IGCSE Additional Mathematics. All represent truly outstanding achievements.
I would encourage all students studying at the IGCSE level to aspire to such excellence and congratulate our students on their fine representation at the Awards Ceremony.

Below is a summary of BISP’s achievements in the IGCSE Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards since the awards were introduced in 2008. Fantastic achievements from our current students and past alumni.
On Friday 1st December BISP held their IGCSE Certificate Ceremony and invited Mr Martin Carpenter, the British Honorary Consul for Phuket to present all students with their certificates from their May/June exams.
BISP is very proud of the IGCSE class of 2017 who produced the best ever IGCSE results in our school’s history with:
91.3% of grades being A* – C;
72% of grades A* to B;
49% of grades A* and A;
44% of students achieving at least 2 A*
.
These are fantastic results!
