Year 11 student Vanchai (Mark) Luangnitikul achieved a fantastic result as part of the TGA National Thai Team’s participation in the Korean hosted 2017 Asian Junior Golf Team Championship.
The National Thai team achieved great success with second place. Mark also placed second as an individual due to his low scoring.
Due to Mark’s high ranking in Thailand, his next challenge will be in January the at the Australian Open Junior where players from all over the world will compete. The winner of this tournament automatically qualifies to play in the Master tournament in the USA.
“Mark has developed into a great athlete in the last year. Fitness in modern golf is huge at high levels and it’s great to see his hard work paying off. It’s a great honor to represent Thailand for him and we are all very proud,” commented BISP Golf Head Coach Oliver Bates.
We wish Mark all the very best with his training over the next few months as he prepares for these tournaments.
