After working hard since the beginning of the academic year, five young students at the British International School Phuket’s Business Academy developed a BISP-exclusive product – beach towels called ‘Inspire Towels’.
The academy was launched as a new initiative between the school, business communities, educators and volunteers in 2014 under the supervision of BISP Business Academy Director Tim Pearson, aiming to inspire young business-minded people to dream big and achieve their potential.
The entrepreneurs that make up ‘Inspire Team’ are Year 10 students at BISP named as Bell Chayamas Thongkerd, Beach Chayamon Thongkerd, Natcha Thanatcha Deschkerd (designer), Leo Nontakrit Thumrongkiatikul and Mark Zheleznyakov. They are now selling each large (30″ x 60″) towel for only 700 baht. The towels also feature the official school crest.
The students are taking business studies as a subject and said that they wanted to add to the school merchandise inventory.
“Inspire. Be Inspired. Be inspiring with Inspire Towels,” says the team, obviously proud of their finished product. “We joined the academy because we thought it would be fun owning a business.”
“It is an original item and can serve as a great gift or souvenir for visitors, parents and teachers – you will not be able to find these anywhere else.”
