Recently, the Year Four students have been working on a unit of work called ‘Body systems work to keep us alive’. This is a science based unit that looks at the different systems in the body.The students primarily investigated:![]()
- The Digestive System
- The Respiratory System
- The Muscular System
- The Skeletal System
- The Circulatory System
The students were set a challenge to create a Body Systems Expo that could help teach others about the systems in their body. They had to work in groups to research and find out information on their chosen system. Collectively, the students wrote an information report on the key features or organs in that system. They also had display facts about how they work, how to keep the systems healthy and their interdependence on other systems.
We invited parents and other students and teachers to the expo on Monday the 24th of April. It was a great success and everyone was impressed by the knowledge and presenting skills the Year Four students showed to their captive audiences.
