March was a busy month for our South East Asian swimmers with racing in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
- Five swimmers competed at the Malaysian age group swimming Championships, collecting a total of 16 medals
- Nicholle competed in Singapore bringing home three medals. She has qualified for the Commonwealth Youth Games and also either the World Junior Swimming Championships or the SE Asian Games
- Est and Fame competed in the Thailand National Championships; between them winning 5 medals. Est was selected for the Thai Youth team to tour Japan and Fame was awarded the 15-18yrs competitor of the meet.
Congratulations to all our swimmers and the focus is now turned to finishing of the season with a strong showing at our home meet in May and also the Singapore open Championships at the end of the School year.

Malaysia
Kimiko Raheem our 2016 Olympian won the 15-17 years 50,100,200 backstroke 100 and 200 freestyle and finished 2nd in the 50 Freestyle.
Hendrik Faber took out the 15-17yrs 400 Freestyle and finished 3rd in both the 200m freestyle and 200m Butterfly
Wern Rui Koay brought home 4 medals in the 13/14 yrs age group in the 100m Backstroke, 100m and 200m freestyle and 50m Butterfly
Our New recruit from India Aryan Nehra Finished with 4 Gold medals in the 11/12 yrs age group in the 200,400IM and 400 and 1500m freestyle events with 2 new meet records in the 400IM and 1500 Freestyle
Christina was very unlucky not to make the podium in her pet events the 50m and 100m Breastroke finishing 4th in both
Singapore
Nicholle was the sole representative for BISP at her National championships in Singapore and as usual she did not disappoint.
Nicholle finished with a silver in the open 50m Butterfly in New Academy Record of 27.55 and 2 bronze medals in the open 100mbutterfly with a new Academy record of 1.01.16 and the 200m Butterfly just outside her best time.
This means Nicholle has now qualified for the Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in the Bahamas from the 19th-23rd of July and also either the World Junior Swimming Championships in Indianapolis USA or the South East Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur which will both be held at the end of August
Bangkok
Est Sangowarawong and Fame Sridlok competed at Thailand National championships and collected 5 medals between them.
Est after 9 weeks out of training won his main event the 200m freestyle by a comfortable margin and also finished 3rd in a photo finish in the 100m freestyle
Meanwhile Fame struck Gold twice in winning the 100m and 200m Backstroke and a very close 2nd in the 50m Backstroke.
Fame was also named the boys 15-18yrs competitor of the meet and Est has been selected for the Thailand youth team to tour Japan next month.
