‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’
Students reach new heights at Secondary Sports Day 2017
Sports Day 2017 kicked off with the U13 girls leaping into action in the 80m hurdles. Moments later school records were broken in both the U13 boys and U15 girls’ races. This year the running events featured a large number of participants and races were competitive and exciting in all age groups.
Field events were also very popular among the students, with some events proving too close to call. A large crowd gathered at the Over 15 boys’ high jump where three students equaled the school record of 1.70m. More records were broken in the long jump, javelin and discus.
Overall, it was great to see students taking part and striving to perform their very best. I would also like to congratulate the students on their support of one another throughout the day and the great colour-team camaraderie.
