The British International School, Phuket (BISP) successfully completed the Athlete Friendly Education Centres (AFEC) reaccreditation process for the second consecutive time. BISP has been part of the global network of like-minded Athlete Friendly Education Centres for over 6 years in conjunction with the World Academy of Sport.
The accreditation is offered to schools that offer dedicated and personalised support to each student-athlete trying to balance academic and sporting commitments as part of their individual ‘passion pathway’. Accredited schools provide flexible learning pathways to student-athletes with policies and procedures as well as excellent support services. They provide the opportunity for student-athletes to continue to remain equally committed to both sporting and academic commitments.
Once accredited, ongoing support is provided through professional development, resources and initiatives provided by the World Academy of Sport as well as their global network of schools and partners.
